Site Manager Vacancy - September Start or Sooner
Location: Chatham

Supply Desk are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Chatham that are seeking a reliable, committed, and experienced Site Manager to join their team. This is a full-time, split-shift position with an immediate or September start, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

We are looking for a proactive and trustworthy individual with a background in site management or caretaking, ideally in a school environment or a similar industry. The successful candidate will help ensure the school premises are safe, secure, and well-maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Split shift hours: Monday to Friday, typically 7:00-11:00 AM and 3:00-6:00 PM.

• Opening and closing the school each day

• Conducting regular site checks to ensure cleanliness, security, and safety

• General maintenance tasks such as minor plumbing, electrical work, and decorating

• Fire safety and health & safety compliance (e.g. fire drills, legionella flushing, COSHH)

• Preparing the site for adverse weather (e.g. gritting during winter)

• Managing waste and portering duties

• Supervising contractors and overseeing external works

• Responding to urgent maintenance issues or call-outs as needed

• Based in or near Chatham

• Driver with access to own vehicle (preferred)

• Previous experience in site management, preferably within a school or similar setting

• Fire safety qualifications or strong awareness of health & safety protocols (desirable)

• Flexible and organised, with the ability to work independently and manage a varied workload

• Committed to high standards of maintenance and safety
