Your new role

Working on projects around Cambridgeshire, they are now looking for a Site Manager to join their team. As a Site Manager, you will be required to coordinate and manage the activities of all site personnel, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and standards using specified drawings and instructions. You will work within budget and on schedule in support of their Perfect Delivery philosophy. Leading and motivating a team, you will supervise all direct labour as necessary, coordinating trades and subcontractors to ensure operations are performed efficiently and in accordance with the construction programme.

Key Duties:

1. Ensure that all work is kept on programme and that all details as specified in the drawings and instructions are adhered to.
2. Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to at all times.
3. Identify and obtain relevant information to plan and execute the work.
4. Provide a reliable, first point of contact service.
5. Implement and monitor all systems and procedures and ensure effective operation.
6. Monitor, maintain, and update all health and safety requirements and procedures.
7. Implement and adhere to appropriate environmental controls.
8. Establish and maintain site setup and welfare facilities.
9. Provide feedback on objectives and training and development needs, as requested.
10. Understand customer’s objectives and ensure good communication to the team.
11. Encourage customer feedback, communicate effectively with line managers, and take appropriate action where necessary.
12. Ensure that relevant issues raised at close-down meetings are actioned accordingly for future contracts.
13. Review and action supplier performance in relation to objectives.
14. Invite and encourage use of supplier’s technical knowledge, skills, and expertise.
15. Deputise for the contract/project manager at project/progress meetings.
16. Offer assistance in project review of other sites.
