The role & about the client: On behalf of our client, ITS Construction Professionals South are recruiting for a Site Manager to join a reputable construction company based in West Sussex.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee day-to-day operations of the construction site
  2. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification
  3. Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff
  4. Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance on site
  5. Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments
  6. Read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
  7. Monitor progress against the construction program and adjust plans as needed
  8. Resolve any site-related issues, delays, or conflicts efficiently
  9. Ensure quality control standards are met throughout the build
  10. Keep accurate records of site activities, variations, and incidents
  11. Report progress and issues to the project manager or senior leadership

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry
  • Strong technical understanding
  • The ability to develop, manage, and maintain successful relationships, both internally and externally
  • Management Level NVQ or equivalent
  • Relevant tickets: SMSTS, First Aid, DBS, and CSCS
