Abatec is recruiting for a freelance Site Manager to join a recognized regional contractor on a civil engineering project in Bridgwater.

The successful candidate will have a background in civil engineering, groundworks, and earthworks.

As a Site Manager, you will:

1. Oversee the day-to-day site activities, ensuring safe and efficient project execution.
2. Support and drive continuous improvement within the project delivery team.
3. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
4. Work closely with the client, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain strong relationships.
5. Monitor project progress, managing budgets and schedules effectively.
6. Identify and mitigate risks to avoid project delays and cost overruns.
7. Lead site teams and foster a positive, safety-focused working environment.

Our client requires a Site Manager with:

• Valid CSCS Gold or above
• SSSTS or SMSTS
• CAT & Genny
• A good understanding of health & safety protocols
• Excellent communication skills
• A background in civil engineering

Salary and benefits include:

• £330 - £380 CIS
