Site Manager – Bodmin | Permanent | Salary £48,000 & Car package

About the Role

Sphere Solutions are recruiting for a Site Manager on behalf of a respected regional contractor. Based on a permanent basis, this role will involve managing a refurbishment project in the heart of Cornwall, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, well-established contractor, with a strong pipeline of projects and a reputation for high-quality refurbishment works across the South West.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of your allocated project.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and direct labour on site.
• Ensure health & safety compliance, completing site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular safety checks.
• Monitor project progress, identifying any risks to programme and taking action to keep works on track.
• Work closely with the client, project manager, and design teams to deliver projects to specification.
• Ensure materials are ordered, stored, and used efficiently.
• Oversee quality control, ensuring all works meet both client and company standards.
• Provide regular progress reports and attend project meetings.

Key Requirements

• Experience managing refurbishment projects.
• Valid SMSTS, CSCS Card and First aid at Work.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and proven experience delivering safe sites.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage both subcontractors and client expectations.
• Full UK driving licence.
