A leading construction company is seeking a Site Manager for their Civils North Team based in Birmingham. The successful candidate will oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards while leading a team to deliver major infrastructure projects. This permanent, full-time role presents an opportunity to work collaboratively with diverse teams in a dynamic environment that values fairness, inclusion, and respect.
We are currently looking to recruit a Site Manager to join our Civils North Team working on project for Transport West Midlands in Birmingham. This will play a key role in the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects in the West Midlands. You'll be responsible for managing daily site operations, ensuring health and safety compliance, coordinating with subcontractors and stakeholders, and maintaining programme and quality standards.
Duties
Oversee day-to-day site activities and ensure safe, timely, and high-quality delivery.
Lead and motivate site teams, including subcontractors, operatives, and supervisors.
Monitor progress against programme and report to Project Managers.
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
Manage site logistics and coordinate materials and plant.
Liaise with design, planning, and commercial teams to resolve on-site issues.
Person Specification
Relevant degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Proven experience as a Site Manager on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and construction best practices.
CSCS card (Black or equivalent), SMSTS, and First Aid certified.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
A commitment to sustainability and safe delivery.

Hours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to Friday
