Are you an experienced and proactive Site Manager with a strong background in industrial construction? We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to oversee a new 20m industrial project in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading national main contractor and play a pivotal role in a flagship development.

The Company

Our client is a prominent national main contractor with an annual turnover exceeding 500m. They specialise in delivering a diverse range of projects, from large-scale residential developments to major industrial and commercial schemes up to 200m. Known for their commitment to quality, health and safety, and professional development, they offer a stable and rewarding career path.

The Role

As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all site activities for the 20m industrial build. You will be the key on-site presence, ensuring the project runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently, and in line with the project program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all on-site operations, including labour, materials, and plant.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and direct labour.
  • Ensure strict adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Implement and enforce all health, safety, and environmental policies on site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and toolbox talks.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager, client, and design team to resolve any on-site issues.
  • Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on industrial or commercial new-build projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
  • Relevant construction qualification (e.g., HNC/HND).
  • SMSTS, CSCS Black/Gold Card, and First Aid at Work certification.
  • Based in or able to commute to the Birmingham area.
Remuneration
  • Salary: 50,000 - 60,000 per annum
