Job summary

Crest Recruitment is seeking a proactive Site Manager for a brand-new affordable housing project in Barry. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, programme, budget, and quality targets are met on a 70-home development.

Reporting to the Project Director, you will coordinate subcontractors, liaise with clients and authorities, and lead meetings to keep stakeholders informed throughout delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential housebuilding or mixed-tenure residential developments.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of timber frame construction.
  • Thorough understanding of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and their implementation on residential developments.
  • Good working knowledge of Sustainable Drainage Approval Body (SAB) requirements and approval processes.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work packages.
  • Ability to lead meetings and provide clear updates to clients and senior management.
  • Strong understanding of construction health and safety legislation and best practice.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to join our growing regional business. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional to play a key role in the successful delivery of high-quality mixed-tenure residential developments. Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be a confident leader and excellent communicator, capable of building strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, local authorities, and internal stakeholders at all levels of the business.
