Overview

REDEC Refurbishment is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our growing team for upcoming projects across the East Kent area. We deliver high-quality refurbishment and construction works across schools, public sector buildings, and commercial sites, with a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and excellence.

Location: East Kent Area

Employment Type: Full-Time PAYE or Self-Employed

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage construction/refurbishment projects from start to finish (site-based), ensuring work is completed on time, to budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Coordinate and supervise on-site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Liaise with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and smooth project delivery.
• Monitor progress, manage resources, and address any issues or delays efficiently.
• Ensure site records, risk assessments, and safety documentation are maintained accurately.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction or refurbishment sector.
• Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
• First Aid at Work (3-day minimum) certification.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Desirable

• Experience managing refurbishment projects in live environments (e.g., public buildings).
• Knowledge of local supply chains and subcontractors in East Kent.
