Site Maintenance Manager -East Lothian

Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are supporting a long-established, forward-thinking manufacturing business in East Lothian as they continue to invest in technology, people, and operational growth.

They are now seeking a Site Maintenance Manager to take full ownership of engineering and maintenance performance on-site, leading both mechanical and electrical teams to drive plant efficiency, reliability, and safe operations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading a team of engineers and electricians to ensure optimal equipment uptime and site performance

• Developing and delivering the site's maintenance strategy, CMMS planning, and preventive maintenance schedules

• Overseeing projects, automation upgrades, and the ongoing development of maintenance systems

• Reporting directly to the Plant Manager and playing a key role in the senior site team

• Working with cross-functional teams to deliver KPIs across safety, downtime, and cost efficiency

• Managing contractor relationships and capital projects as required

• Driving continuous improvement and best-practice lean manufacturing initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

• A strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering

• 10+ years’ experience in a maintenance or engineering management role, ideally in a fast-paced or heavy process environment

• Experienced with CMMS systems, project delivery, and asset management

• Demonstrated leadership skills with a hands-on, “lead from the front” approach

• Strong understanding of HSE and compliance requirements

• Natural problem-solver with a drive for continuous improvement
