Job description

Job Title: Site Maintenance Assistant

Location: Ipswich

Salary: £11.44 per hour

Hours: 37.5 per week

Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units, and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support individuals in regaining lost skills and achieving personal goals. Main Purpose

To carry out external and internal maintenance of the building, equipment, and grounds.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform maintenance duties including electrical, painting, plumbing, carpentry, and door repairs within the centre.
  2. Keep workspaces clean, clear, and free of obstructions.
  3. Maintain and report on equipment, including cleanliness, faults, and maintenance needs.
  4. Conduct periodic inspections and update the preventative maintenance log.
  5. Manage deliveries and dispose of waste safely following procedures and legislation.
  6. Occasionally drive a company vehicle for local journeys.
  7. Maintain a safe working environment, uphold confidentiality, and undertake additional tasks as needed.
Candidate Requirements
  • Valid driving license.
  • Ability to work within a team and communicate effectively with service users.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures and health & safety legislation.
  • Basic IT and numeracy skills.
