Job summary

Core Group is seeking an experienced LV/AP Tester to join a major electrical engineering project in the Hemel Hempstead area. The role is site-based and will involve inspection, testing, energisation and commissioning of LV systems under supervision.

Requirements include City & Guilds 2391, BS7671 18th Edition, minimum 3 years' experience, and an ECS/JIB Electrician Card. Excellent health & safety knowledge and ability to work independently or in a team are essential.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2391 in Inspection & Testing.
• BS7671 Wiring Regulations qualification (18th Edition).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical inspection and testing.
• Valid ECS/JIB Electrician Card.
• Strong understanding of electrical installations and testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical inspection and testing of LV installations.
• Undertake energisation and de-energisation activities under authorised instruction.
• Complete testing documentation and certification accurately.
• Ensure all work complies with BS7671 Wiring Regulations and company procedures.
• Follow safe systems of work and maintain health & safety standards.
• Assist with fault finding and verification of electrical installations.
• Work closely with engineers, supervisors and commissioning teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in internal AP training and competency assessments.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance on site.
