Job Title: Site Lead Carpenter / Joiner
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Nationwide Projects (England & Wales)
Salary: £17.00 -£18.00 per hour (DOE)

iHus is the UK’s specialist in bespoke timber-frame granny annexes, delivering high-quality living spaces that transform lives. We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Carpenter/Joiner to take the lead role on site, managing small build teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard

What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead and manage a 2–3 person on-site team
Oversee all attending trades and manage daily build activities
Act as the main site contact for the client throughout the build
Ensure health & safety compliance and site cleanliness
Report progress and issues to the assigned Project Manager
Assemble annexe floor cassettes (factory pre-built)
Erect external and internal timber panels
Construct roof structures (flat and pitched)
Complete 1st fix joinery (noggins, pattresses, windows, doors)
Fit cladding, soffits, and fascia
Maintain build quality and pace without direct supervision

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience with timber-frame construction
Demonstrated ability to lead small site teams
A practical, problem-solving mindset and ability to work autonomously
Strong understanding of HSE and site protocols
A full UK driving licence
Basic tool set (we supply essentials on top)
Ideally based within 50 miles of Doncaster
