JOB POSITION: On Site - Layout Engineer
KEY INFORMATION:
  • From 5 to 12 years of experience
  • Energy industry experience required (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Offshore), Nuclear preferred
  • Skills: Coordination, open point resolution, problem-solving
  • Experience with HVAC, piping, equipment, civil works, cable trays (at least 3 out of 5)

Note: All applications not meeting these criteria will not be considered.

LOCATION:

Somerset - on-site.

EXPERTISE:
  • Assessing site requests for layout impact and listing impacts across disciplines and contractors
  • Producing technical assessments and solutions with supporting justification
  • Updating deliverables produced by the RD back office if needed
  • Proposing 3D models with CAD support
  • Liaising with other disciplines (HVAC, Piping, Equipment, Electrical) as needed
  • Reporting progress, achievements, and difficulties to the Layout Team Lead
  • Raising alerts on design aspects and contributing to the closure of open points after package delivery
  • Anticipating and raising alerts on technical issues
  • Participating in team meetings, sharing technical topics
  • Managing modifications requested by engineering teams, contractors, and the client
QUALIFICATIONS:

Communication, Proactivity, Collaboration, Organisation, Delivery orientation.

SOFTWARE & TOOLS:

Microsoft Word/Excel, good knowledge of PDMS or similar 3D design software, AutoCAD, Navisworks.
