Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Burnley is launching a new distribution site and seeks a Shift Operations Manager to build a high-performing team from day one and deliver outstanding service.

You'll lead a large operational area, drive safety, KPI achievement, and continuous improvement while developing talent and sustaining a culture of engagement in a fast-paced fashion and apparel operation. This is a full-time role on a 4-on/4-off shift pattern with a salary up to £40,000 and a benefits package

Qualifications

• Proven operational leadership experience in logistics, warehousing or distribution.
• Strong people management with ability to coach and develop teams.
• Experience delivering against KPIs, labour plans and productivity targets.
• Proactive problem solving with data-driven improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire Team Managers and frontline colleagues to deliver outstanding performance.
• Drive a safety-first culture and compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
• Deliver KPI, productivity, quality and budget targets while maintaining service levels.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement efficiency solutions.
• Develop, coach and support leadership, fostering engagement and succession planning.
