Site Investigation Engineer

Location: Leeds or Manchester, UK

Salary: Competitive

Allen & York are excited to collaborate with a leading global provider of consulting and engineering services. We are seeking an enthusiastic Site Investigation Engineer to join our national ground investigation team based in Leeds or Manchester. The team offers ground investigation, geotechnical, and geo-environmental consultancy services to a diverse range of private and public sector clients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise geotechnical and geo-environmental ground investigations across the north of England and other UK sites.
  2. Log soil and rock samples in accordance with BS5930 standards.
  3. Oversee site works, groundwater, and ground gas monitoring.
  4. Produce clear, concise factual reports.
  5. Ensure health, safety, and environmental management standards are met.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Geology or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in ground investigation.
  • Full, clean driving license.
  • Willingness to spend most of your time on-site within northern England, with occasional overnight stays.
  • Preferred but not essential: security clearance, experience with Openground software, and first aid training.
