Job summary

G Force Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Permanent Site Installations Manager (MEICA) to oversee full installation lifecycles across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic plant on UK-wide projects with travel as required. You will manage site programmes, CDM coordination, NEC contracts and RAMs, ensuring safe delivery and strong client liaison.

Ideal candidates are apprentice-trained engineers with an HNC, SMSTS/CDM, and 5–10 years of hands-on experience in site installations, holding a full UK

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained in Engineering with an HNC or equivalent.

• 5–10 years in mechanical site installations management or supervision.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel UK-wide.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients and on-site teams.

Permanent - Site Installations Manager (MEICA)

Location: South Yorkshire - Travel UK wide / stay away

Salary package: £55k - £60k p/a + pension + medical + 25 days hols. + package

Working week: Monday to Friday, 37hr standard week + Overtime

The Client:

Our client, is a leading UK engineering and construction installation organisation, specialising in large mechanical, electrical and control projects from initial concept through to installation and commission. They operate in heavy engineering sectors, including nuclear, infrastructure, marine and specialist lifting, to name buy a few.

They are seeking an experienced Site Manager due to continued growth of projects to lead site installations.

The role:

This is an autonomous Site Installation Manager role, manging full installation lifecycle, from site installation to commission and handover, particularly across disciplines including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic plant.

Site Installation Manager - Daily Responsibilities:

• Site Management, planning & CDM Coordination
• Working on plants within a project related environment, incorporating mechanical/ electrical/ hydraulic installation.
• Managing NEC contracts
• Preparing site programmes using Microsoft Project, risk assessments and method statements (RAMs)
• Managing the dismantling, refurbishment and installation of a variety of large complex structures/moving equipment which includes drives, gears, valves, pumps etc.
• Have excellent communication skills and be able to relate to both client and workforce scenarios.
• Working to the Health & Safety at Work Act

Site Installation Manager - Person Specification:

• Apprentice-trained in Engineering (fabrication / Mechanical / electrical) with an HNC or similar
• SMSTS / CDM regs
• Ideally 5-10 years of experience in mechanical site installations management or supervision
• Ideally having experience in a planning & coordination management capacity on various sites and plants preferably incorporating mechanical/ electrical/ hydraulic installation
• Skilled in leading teams & managing client relationships
• Experience integrating and working with and alongside electrical teams
• Commercial acumen - Contract coordination of NEC contracts
• First Aid / IoSH Managing Safely desirable
• Full UK driving licence required
• Flexible for site travel - customers sites across the UK
