Job summary

Arcus FM are recruiting a proactive Site Inspector on a 3 month fixed term contract to support a leading national client. You will conduct building condition surveys, identify defects, and log data for thousands of sites across the portfolio.

You’ll review energy usage, tenant documentation, and ensure compliance while coordinating inspections and remedial works. A driving licence and multi-trade experience are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds/BTEC in a building trade (preferred).
• Experience across multiple trades (essential).
• Experience in building surveys and remedial reporting (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Conduct building condition surveys across a large portfolio of sites.
• Identify defects and areas for improvement; recommend remedial actions.
• Record and report findings using internal systems; log utility data.
• Review energy usage and tenant documentation to ensure compliance.
• Identify misuse by tenants; carry out pre-handover inspections; plan remedial works.
• Plan and complete inspections across ~2,000 sites annually with tenants.

Arcus FM are currently recruiting for a proactive and detail-driven Site Inspector to join our Account Management team, on a 3 month fixed term contract, supporting a leading national client.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a wide-ranging inspection programme across thousands of sites—helping to maintain high standards, ensure compliance, and improve the customer and tenant experience.

About the Job

In this role, you’ll be responsible for conducting building condition surveys across a large portfolio of railway arches, identifying defects and areas for improvement, and recommending appropriate remedial actions.

You’ll record and report your findings using Arcus FM’s internal systems while also capturing and logging utility data, such as meter readings where required.

A key part of your role will involve reviewing energy usage—particularly at unoccupied or underused sites—and ensuring compliance by reviewing tenant documentation.

You’ll also identify and address any misuse of sites by tenants, carry out pre-handover inspections, and scope out any necessary remedial works.

With responsibility for planning and completing inspections across approximately 2,000 sites annually, you’ll work closely with tenants to arrange visits and ensure all relevant data is gathered accurately and on time.

To be successful you will have:

Qualifications & Experience:

• NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC in a building trade (preferred).
• Proven experience across multiple trades (essential).
• Experience in building surveys and remedial reporting (desirable).
