Overview
Arcus FM are recruiting a proactive and detail-driven Site Inspector to join the Account Management team, supporting a leading national client in London and the surrounding areas. This role involves owning a wide-ranging inspection programme across thousands of sites, helping to maintain high standards, ensure compliance, and improve the customer and tenant experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct building condition surveys across a large portfolio of railway arches.
- Identify defects and areas for improvement; recommend appropriate remedial actions.
- Record and report findings using Arcus FM internal systems; capture and log utility data (e.g., meter readings) as required.
- Review energy usage, particularly at unoccupied or underused sites, ensuring compliance by reviewing tenant documentation.
- Identify and address any misuse of sites by tenants; carry out pre-handover inspections; scope out necessary remedial works.
- Plan and complete inspections across approximately 2,000 sites annually; coordinate with tenants to arrange visits and ensure data is gathered accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC in a building trade (preferred).
- Proven experience across multiple trades (essential).
- Experience in building surveys and remedial reporting (desirable).

- Strong background in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident in resolving issues on-site and maintaining professional relationships.
- IT literate; comfortable using databases, planning tools, and reporting systems.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and committed to delivering outstanding service.
