Job Summary

The Site HRBP will support Site Operations goals and strategies, identifying opportunities to increase organizational effectiveness and productivity. Under the general direction of the Site Director/Manager Human Resources, the Human Resources Business Partner will carry out responsibilities in areas such as recruitment/employment, affirmative action plans (US only), employment law compliance, benefits administration, training, performance management, onboarding, and policy implementation.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Participate in planning, coordinating, and executing employee engagement, and community events.
  2. Investigate employee concerns regarding compliance issues, working conditions, disciplinary actions, appeals, discrimination allegations, and union grievances.
  3. Develop department goals, objectives, and systems.
  4. Perform employment/recruitment functions including advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checks, offers, pre-employment physicals, and recordkeeping.
  5. Conduct onboarding processes.
  6. Review benefits options with employees, assist with enrollment, cancellations, or changes.
  7. Manage annual open enrollment communications and elections (US Only).
  8. Conduct employee meetings and benefit seminars, facilitate plan enrollments (US Only).
  9. Ensure compliance with local employment laws.
  10. Support occupational health issues, workers' compensation claims, and return-to-work processes.
  11. Update HR systems with employee changes, generate reports, and maintain employment records.
  12. Conduct research, special projects, and prepare reports and summaries.
  13. Assist HR department with various projects and initiatives.
Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5+ years of full-time HR experience, including employee relations
  • 3 years familiarity with California labor laws and leave
  • 3 years of Excel experience
  • Must be a US citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SHRM certification (strongly preferred)
  • HR process knowledge
  • Problem-solving skills and timely issue resolution
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work autonomously with HR leadership support
