Our client is a leading FMCG Distributor, currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse & Transport professional as they seek a Site General Manager at their site in Bedford, Bedfordshire. As Site GM, you will be responsible for managing and developing the busy operations teams across both Warehouse and Transport.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Delivering all elements of the Operations in line with plan, across both Warehouse and Transport
  2. Managing the depot management team to drive operational efficiencies, service excellence, and productivity to constantly improve depot performance
  3. Managing the commercial operation of the depot to ensure the profit budget target (£8 million) is met or exceeded
  4. Ensuring all H&S, Legal Compliance of the depot is adhered to
  5. Managing the P&L Budget (£8 million)
  6. Driving Continuous Improvement (CI) across the operation

The ideal candidate:

  • Has managed and led Warehouse and Transport operations within an FMCG environment
  • Is commercially astute with a focus on cost optimization and customer service
  • Is well-versed in managing operational and logistics KPIs, passionate about customer service
  • Has demonstrated operational efficiencies and improvements through CI/project management
  • Has a proven track record of people management and leadership
