Our client is a leading FMCG Distributor currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse & Transport professional as they seek a Site General Manager at their site in Bedford, Bedfordshire. As Site GM, you will manage and develop the busy operations teams across both Warehouse and Transport.

With approximately 4 direct reports and around 100 FTEs on site, your responsibilities as Site General Manager will include:

• Delivering all elements of operations in line with the plan, across Warehouse and Transport
• Managing the depot management team to drive operational efficiencies, service excellence, and productivity to constantly improve depot performance
• Managing the depot's commercial operation to ensure profit targets are met or exceeded
• Ensuring all H&S and legal compliance standards are adhered to
• Managing the P&L budget (£8 million)
• Driving continuous improvement (CI) across the operation

The ideal candidate for Head of Operations (Warehouse and Transport) will:

• Have successfully managed and led Warehouse and Transport operations within an FMCG environment
• Be commercially astute, with a sharp eye for cost optimization and a track record in customer service
• Be well-versed in managing core operational and logistics KPIs, with a passion for customer service and delivering excellent service
• Demonstrate exceptional operational efficiencies and improvements through CI/project management
• Have a proven track record in people management and leadership
