The Role: We are currently seeking an experienced Site Foreman on behalf of our client for an ongoing project in Southend-on-Sea. The role involves overseeing subcontractors and supporting the site management team in working on a multi-storey car park to high standards.

This is a great opportunity for a reliable, proactive Foreman with strong groundworks and civils knowledge to step into a key role on a long-term project.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervising on-site labour and subcontractors (e.g., groundworkers, steel fixers, drainage teams)
• Supporting the Site Manager in coordinating daily site activities
• Ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with drawings/specifications
• Leading toolbox talks and enforcing health & safety on site
• Managing materials, deliveries, and work areas to ensure smooth workflow
• Monitoring quality control and resolving any site issues promptly
• Keeping site diaries and records up to date

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Foreman on civils or structural concrete projects
• Strong background in groundworks and RC frames preferred
• SMSTS (essential)
• CSCS card
• First Aid at Work
• Ability to read drawings and manage small teams of operatives/subcontractors
• Strong communication and leadership skills
