Job description

Lockerbie Creamery

Days-Based Role, Monday – Friday

We are currently recruiting a Finance Business Partner to join our UK Production Finance team, aligned with our site in Lockerbie. Lockerbie is one of our largest sites in Europe and is undergoing significant investment in Cheddar upgrades and the future UHT centre of excellence.

This is an exciting time to be part of the site leadership team. You will report to the Associate Director for UK Production and work alongside a team of highly skilled finance professionals. You will also be involved in business planning and shaping the long-term strategic direction of the site.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Collaborate with operations and the Site Director to drive continuous improvement (ONE CI) initiatives.
  • Contribute to overall site performance metrics, providing insights beyond finance to support decision-making.
  • Manage the financial forecast process, engaging the site team to ensure ownership and accuracy of forecasts.
  • Ensure accurate product costings and work towards achieving an EBIT close to net zero.
  • Approve all financial business cases related to the site, including CAPEX and ONE CI projects.
  • Sign off on financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheet), including coordinating year-end stock counts.

What Will Make You Successful?

The ideal candidate will have experience as a finance business partner within a supply chain environment. You should be able to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively to non-finance stakeholders, with a structured approach to problem-solving.

Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to build strong relationships across functions and at senior levels. You should be proactive, analytical, and willing to challenge the status quo. Proficiency in Office applications, especially advanced Excel skills, is required. Experience with SAP is advantageous.

While we support hybrid working, regular onsite presence at the Lockerbie site is expected.

What Do We Offer?

  • Competitive salary (discussed at application stage)
  • Bonus up to 20%
  • BUPA Healthcare
  • 26 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements
  • Pension contributions matched up to 6%
  • 4x annual salary life assurance
  • Free onsite gym
  • Discounted products in our Staff Shop
  • Commitment to training and development (internal & external)
  • Flexible benefits, including the option to buy additional leave and discounts via our reward platform
  • Festive cheese hamper at Christmas
