Major Recruitment are seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager for a site-based role in Knaresborough. The temporary 3-month assignment will run Mon–Fri, 8am–4pm, with a pay rate of £24.62 per hour.

You will manage day-to-day facilities, coordinate maintenance, and ensure compliance across the site, working closely with operations and maintenance teams. You will oversee contracts and assets, carry out statutory inspections, and drive improvements while maintaining high housekeeping and HSEQ

Competenze

• Experience in Facilities Management or Building Services.
• Experience coordinating maintenance or facilities activities with contractors.
• A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and environmental compliance.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and CMMS or similar systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail and precise records.

Mansioni

• Manage day-to-day facilities operation across the site to a high standard.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance; keep CMMS records up to date.
• Oversee service contracts including cleaning, pest control, waste, PPE.
• Manage site assets like access controls, radios, gas monitors and RPE.
• Coordinate statutory inspections and compliance activities.
• Lead small improvement projects beyond the maintenance team.
• Monitor building condition and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Promote housekeeping and HSEQ compliance.
