Heartwood Learning Trust is seeking a hands-on Site / Facilities Manager to lead the day-to-day management of our school site, ensuring buildings and grounds are safe, secure, clean and well-maintained for pupils, staff and visitors.
You will manage cleaning, caretaking and grounds teams, oversee maintenance and repairs, supervise contractors, and ensure health and safety compliance. This role includes key-holder duties and emergency response on a rotating basis.

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll lead our cleaning, caretaking and grounds teams, oversee maintenance and repairs, manage contractors, monitor health and safety compliance, and play a vital role in keeping our school running smoothly. You’ll also act as a key holder, respond to emergency call-outs when required, and help ensure our facilities remain in excellent condition all year round.
We’re looking for someone with experience in site or facilities management, strong leadership skills, a practical approach to maintenance and repairs, and a sound understanding of health and safety. Flexibility, initiative and a commitment to safeguarding are essential.
