Location:

Due to continued growth in our business, we are looking for a Site Engineers to join our team to ensure construction on projects is carried out accurately and a high standard of quality whilst maintaining satisfactory progress against the construction programme. These roles will be based on our projects within the Cheltenham/Gloucester area.

Description

As a Site Engineer you will be responsible for setting out the works to be constructed within specified tolerances and ensuring the workforce understand the setting out information provided. You will work on our highway and infrastructure projects constructing roads, footways, and cycleways in urban environments.

As our successful candidate you will be competent in the following areas:

Your Day To Day Will Include

• Management of Health, Safety & Environment matters of areas of direct responsibility.
• Provide and maintain setting out and dimensional control to ensure accurate construction of work.
• Regularly check the setting out points, benchmarks and calibration of instruments and measuring equipment being used.
• Carryout as-built surveys and records of completed works.
• Assisting in managing systems to record the quality of work completed, testing, workmanship, and materials.
• Provide Engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries answered.
• Complete daily diary sheets and photographic evidence as required.
• Assist in basic planning, monitoring, and programming.
• Control and minimise waste on site.

• Understanding of engineering principles.
• Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
• Experience in a Site Engineer role on similar projects.
• Ability to use Automatic Level and EDM.
• Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way.

• Problem solving skills.
• Holders of relevant SCS card.
