Candidates should have setting out and surveying experience on water/infrastructure projects, strong document control skills and clear communication with site management and subcontractors.

Qualifications

Site Engineer - Water Utilities & Mains Renewal

The Opportunity

Damicor is working with a leading utilities contractor experiencing significant growth across its Thames Water targeted mains renewal frameworks.

Due to an increase in project workload, we are looking to recruit experienced Site Engineers to support the delivery of clean water infrastructure and mains renewal projects across London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established utilities business delivering essential water infrastructure projects, supporting site teams to ensure works are completed accurately, safely and in line with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out and surveying duties across water infrastructure and mains renewal projects.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction information.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with design requirements and project tolerances.
• Monitor construction activities and maintain accurate site records.
• Support Site Managers and Supervisors with technical guidance and engineering information.
• Carry out quality checks and assist with inspections and testing.
• Identify and report discrepancies, technical issues and potential delays.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed across all site activities.
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors and project management to support efficient delivery.

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure.
• Experience with setting out, surveying and interpreting engineering drawings.
• A good understanding of construction methods, quality assurance and site health and safety.
• The ability to maintain accurate site records and technical documentation.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach to supporting site delivery and resolving technical issues.
• Experience working on water infrastructure projects, particularly potable water mains renewal or rehabilitation, would be highly advantageous. Previous experience on Thames Water Utilities Limited (TWUL) frameworks would also be beneficial.
