About the role
SZC is owned by shareholders EDF and HMG, with investments managed through NNB Holdings Company (SZC) Limited. The project involves designing, financing, constructing, commissioning, operating, maintaining, and decommissioning the Sizewell C nuclear power plant and related infrastructure in Suffolk, including activities related to hydrogen, direct air capture, and desalination. The current development phase focuses on capital raising, securing core supply chain contracts, and obtaining necessary permits and licenses.
Previously operated under EDF's Nuclear Development business, SZC is transitioning to its own organization capable of delivering a new nuclear power plant, with support from EDF's established UK nuclear capabilities.
Key stakeholders include the UK Government, regulators, EDF, investors, local communities, and partners.
What you'll be doing
The scope includes the design, planning, procurement, and execution of early civils works such as SSSI Crossing, ground improvements, dewatering, diaphragm walls, sea defense, marine bulk import facility, beach landing facility, construction drainage outfall, and bulk Earthworks.
