Site Engineer - Setting Out

We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Site Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis, working across Tayside and the surrounding areas.

This role involves managing efficient, cost-effective, and customer-focused services, ensuring that all works comply with legislation, client specifications, and health, safety, and environmental standards. The successful candidate will play a key part in delivering projects to the highest standard while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setting up and maintaining site control.
  • Setting out roads, sewers, and structures.
  • Ensuring compliance with works standards, design, and specifications.
  • Reviewing project design and attending internal progress meetings.
  • Acting as a direct point of contact between the client and the company.
  • Managing labour, plant, and materials across multiple projects.
  • Carrying out land, stockpile, and construction surveys.
  • Supervising works and ensuring project specifications are met.
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and professional staff.
  • Preparing site reports, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Providing technical advice and problem-solving support.
Essential Requirements
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Proven site experience
  • Full driving licence
Desirable Qualifications
  • First Aid (appointed person)
  • HNC/HND in Civil Engineering
  • SSSTS certification
