Job summary

Tilbury Douglas is seeking a skilled Site Engineer to lead the engineering and technical elements of construction projects in the Yorkshire region. The role focuses on quality control, contract compliance, and upholding health, safety and environmental standards on site.

You will support excellence on site, manage relationships with the customer and advisers, and champion Tilbury Douglas policies while contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree (or similar) in a relevant construction subject.
• Experience (Graduate + 2 years min) in a Site Engineer role for a main contractor.
• SMSTS qualification.
• Appropriate CSCS Card.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to plan, reason, and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure works comply with contract specifications and drawings, with records to confirm compliance.
• Maintain relationships with the customer and their representatives/advisors.
• Implement Tilbury Douglas policies on safety, quality, sustainability, and development.
• Implement the Companies Business Management System on site.
• Utilise Asite as project CDE and Integrated Management System.
• Proactively identify and resolve problems on site.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Line management duties including annual appraisals and development of junior staff.
