Job summary

Barnwood is seeking a Site Engineer to join our delivery team. You will ensure projects are built to drawings, specifications and high quality, working with the Site Manager to set out, levels and dimensional control.

You will also supervise subcontractors, carry out as-built surveys, maintain detailed records, review drawings for clashes, coordinate RFIs with the design team, and support QA, handover and safe site practices.

Qualifications

• HNC, HND or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or a related subject (or relevant experience).
• Valid CSCS card and SSSTS or SMSTS.
• First Aid at Work and Temporary Works Supervisor training.
• CPCS or NPORS card relevant to site activities.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and establishing control points, grid lines and datum levels.
• Check subcontractor setting out and record lines, levels and tolerances.
• Carry out as-built surveys and prepare records/drawings.
• Coordinate RFIs and review drawings for clashes with the design team.
• Attend site meetings and support QA, handover and site safety.
