Job summary

Sizewell C Limited seeks a Section Engineer for Pre Construction Enabling Works at the Suffolk site. You will operate within the Civil Works Alliance to support the SZC project, focusing on earthworks planning, design, procurement and early site activities.

This role requires clear communication of safe systems, collaboration across stakeholder groups, and a willingness to travel away from home. A HNC/HND/Degree and CSCS card are essential, with full UK driving licence expected.

Qualifications

• Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately.
• Ability to work across conflicting interest groups to develop solutions to complex operational and commercial problems.
• Knowledge of Project Management methodology.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willing to work away from home.

Responsibilities

• Support design, planning, procurement and execution of early SZC civils scope including earthworks trials, monitoring soil behaviour and on-site testing.
• Oversee earthworks backfilling operations, placing and compaction methods.
• Maintain site records and daily diary.
