Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group in Brighton, East Sussex, seeks an experienced Site Engineer for a long-term civil works project focusing on piling and reinforced concrete.

You will set out, review drawings with CAD, maintain records, coordinate with the site team and subcontractors, and uphold safety and QA standards.

This freelance role offers an LTD daily rate up to £350 and an ASAP start on a Brighton-based scheme.

Qualifications

• Must have proven setting-out experience for civil/structural works.
• Strong CAD capability and ability to interpret and amend drawings.
• Experience with piling and reinforced concrete works.
• CSCS card and engineering qualifications or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out for civil engineering and structural works, including piling and reinforced concrete.
• Establish and maintain site control points, benchmarks and survey references.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications and engineering information.
• Undertake dimensional checks, level surveys, as-built surveys and quality inspections.
• Provide engineering support for piling operations, including pile positions, coordinates, levels and tolerances.
• Support reinforced concrete works, including foundations, pile caps, ground beams and related elements.
• Check reinforcement details, formwork dimensions and concrete levels against drawings.
• Produce setting-out information, working drawings and as-built documentation.
