Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Site Engineer to support on-site civil engineering works across our UK water, energy and environment frameworks. You will implement setting-out procedures, assist the Site Manager with safety, planning and resource management, and participate in on-site surveys.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring compliance with standards and delivering quality outcomes. Travel to sites across the operational region is expected.

Qualifications

• CSCS and SSSTS qualifications are required.
• HNC / Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Understand civil engineering principles and practices.
• An understanding of methods, materials and technical aspects relevant to the project.
• Excellent organisation and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring standard company procedures are adopted in carrying out setting out operations as per the test and inspection, and that effective methods of communication are used in transmitting information to operatives and subcontractors
• Site Management and carrying out ‘as built’ surveys on completed works
• Assist the Site manager in the initial set‑up, ensuring company systems and procedures are in place and implemented; supporting the Site Manager in maintaining and enforcing safety standards throughout the project; support the site team in planning and monitoring output
• Financial Control and ensuring company cost systems are kept up to date by logging material deliveries, managing and reviewing plant levels
• Assisting the Site manager and Quantity Surveying Department by compiling data to record resources utilised on each activity.
