Job description

Your role

The Site Engineer II (SE) is responsible for performing infrastructure-related activities in our Data Centres to ensure reliable and efficient operation of critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure. This includes maintenance, testing, and surveillance of all assets installed. The role involves troubleshooting, assembly, and scheduling of daily maintenance tasks. It is essential to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs), deliver client satisfaction, and participate in a 7x24 shift rotation when applicable.

What you’ll do
  • Ensure adherence to company safety policies, operational efficiency, and core values.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Manage maintenance and repair operations, including coordination with subcontractors.
  • Perform on-call duties and manage incidents as necessary.
  • Document progress, issues, and results; implement improvement measures.
  • Supervise Site Engineers I, including task assignment, performance evaluation, and professional development.
  • Demonstrate advanced technical skills in troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Write and review operating procedures; assist in planning critical maintenance and change requests.
What you’ll need
  • At least 2 years of experience in mission-critical operations and maintenance of large-scale electrotechnical and/or electrical and mechanical systems; technical education or certification in mission-critical operations.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in shifts.
  • Vocational education in a technical field or site engineering experience.
  • Skills in maintaining electrotechnical and electrical/mechanical systems common to data centers, including high and low voltage power distribution, cooling systems, and building management systems.
  • Preferably skilled in electrical switching and isolation procedures in critical environments.
  • Basic experience in maintaining mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems (Mechanical/Electrical).
  • Customer and business-focused, proactive in enhancing service quality.
  • Attention to detail with a hands-on approach.
  • Resilient under stress.
  • Good communication skills.
