Qualifications

  • Experience in mission critical operations and maintenance of large scale electrotechnical and/or electrical and mechanical systems.
  • HVAC mechanical and/or electrical background.
  • Good computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Willingness to work in shifts.
  • Vocational-level education in a technical field or site engineering role.
  • Experience with high/low voltage power distribution, cooling systems, and BMS is preferred.

Job description

The Site Engineer II (day role) core responsibility is to perform infrastructure related activities in our Data Centres to ensure a reliable and efficient operation of thecritical electrical and mechanical infrastructure. This is achieved through maintenance, testing and surveillance of all assets installed. This role is responsible for trouble shooting, assembly and day to day scheduling of maintenance tasks. It is also critical to meet Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and deliver client satisfaction.

  • Provide supervision to Site Engineers I, including task assignment, performance evaluation, and professional development guidance.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in technical skills pertinent to the role, covering troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
  • Responsible for writing and reviewing of operating procedures and assisting with the planning of critical maintenance / change requests

What you’ll need
  • Experience in ‘Mission critical’ operations and maintenance of large scale electrotechnical and/or Electrical and Mechanical systems Technical education / training certification in the field of ‘Mission Critical’ Operations.
  • HVAC Mechanical and/or Electrical.
  • A good level of computer literacy, specifically in Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
  • Able to work in shifts.
  • Education to a vocational level in a technical field and/or site engineering position.
  • Skilled in maintenance of electrotechnical and/or Electricaland Mechanicalsystems common to data centers, including but not limited to:
    • High and Low Voltage Power Distribution (Switchgear, Transformers, UPS systems, Generators)
    • Cooling Systems (Chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Piping)
    • Building Management Systems (BMS) for monitoring and control of electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Preferably skilled in electrical switching and isolation procedures in a critical environment.
  • Novice in maintaining mechanical systems.
  • Pro-active with a Customer and Business focused and is searching for ways to enhance the agreed services to provide the customer with the best possible outcome.
  • Has attention to detail and having a ‘Hands-on’ mentality.
  • Is stress resilient.
  • Good communication skills.
