HW Martin Fencing and Forestry Ltd on HS2 is seeking a precision-driven Site Engineer to take immediate ownership of site-setting out and quality assurance protocols, specifically focusing on extensive fencing packages and asset protection.

Join our team on Europe’s largest infrastructure project. We specialise in fencing and vegetation management and collaborate with major rail contractors. A CSCS card and rail project experience are preferred.

Competenze

• Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification/experience.
• Experience with HS2 or major rail/infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with surveying instruments (Leica/Topcon) and CAD software for data extraction.
• Demonstrated ability to drive the ITP process from checklist to handover.

Mansioni

• Precision setting out: establish line/level control for fencing boundaries using surveying equipment.
• Quality Assurance: manage and sign off ITPs to HS2 specs and asset standards.
• As-built records: produce surveys and maintain logs, drawings and records.

The Role:

Join our team on HS2, Europe’s largest infrastructure project, to deliver critical enabling works and civil engineering solutions. We are seeking a precision-driven Site Engineer to take immediate ownership of site-setting out and quality assurance protocols, specifically focusing on extensive fencing packages and asset protection.

Key Responsibilities

• Precision Setting Out: Establish clear line and level control for temporary and permanent fencing boundaries using total stations, GPS, and standard surveying equipment.
• Quality Assurance (ITPs): Complete, manage, and sign off Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) to guarantee compliance with HS2 technical specifications and asset standards.
• As-Built Records: Produce accurate as-built surveys and maintain comprehensive engineering logs, drawings, and records.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Civil Engineering Degree (Preferred): Or equivalent technical qualification/experience in a relevant construction discipline.
• HS2 or Major Project Experience (Preferred): Prior experience working within the strict compliance framework of HS2 or tier-1 major rail/infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency (Essential): Competency with modern surveying instruments (Leica/Topcon) and CAD software for data extraction.
• Quality Focus (Essential): Demonstrated experience driving the ITP process from initial checklist creation through to final handover.
• Certifications (Essential): Valid CSCS card (Civil Engineering or Supervisor preferred).
• PTS (Personal Track Safety) is a major advantage.
