Job summary

OCS Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a leading groundworks contractor working on a major residential development in Hertfordshire. The project value is up to £12m and starts soon.

You will provide technical support, set out and survey across groundworks, and ensure works align with design and programme. Required are a Civil Engineering degree and at least 2 years' groundworks experience, with strong setting-out and surveying skills and the ability to coordinate with

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 2 years' experience on groundworks projects
• Strong setting-out and surveying experience
• Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications
• Experience on residential or large-scale projects
• Excellent attention to detail and technical ability
• Ability to work with Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors
• UK site-based experience

Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying across groundworks and civil engineering activities
• Provide technical support to the Site Management team
• Check drawings, specifications and site measurements
• Ensure works are constructed in accordance with design and specification
• Complete quality assurance and site documentation
• Monitoring levels, coordinates and tolerances
• Liaising with subcontractors and site teams
• Assisting with resolving technical issues on site
• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress
