Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting an experienced Site Engineer for a major groundworks project in East London. You will take ownership of setting out, QA and manage concrete pours across seven levels, ensuring accuracy and quality on a long-term development.

The role requires proven groundworks/RC frame experience, proficiency with Leica LR total stations, and strong QA skills to maintain records and ensure safety on site.

• Pour Management: Overseeing and managing large-scale concrete pours to ensure high-quality finishes and structural integrity.
• Quality Assurance: Conducting rigorous QA checks and maintaining accurate site records and as-built surveys.

Site Engineer - Groundworks

Location: East London

Rate: £300- £320 per day CIS or Ltd - OUTSIDE IR35

Duration: Long-term project running until 2028

Start Date: ASAP

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading Groundworks Contractor on a major, long-term development in East London.

This is a huge project consistingwith works scheduled to run until 2028. You will be taking ownership of the engineering on 7 levels of concrete slabs and associated concrete pours.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting Out & QA: Accurate setting out for ground floor and suspended concrete slabs across 7 levels.
• Marking Out: Precisely marking out joint locations and structural elements.
• Pour Management: Overseeing and managing large-scale concrete pours to ensure high-quality finishes and structural integrity.
• Quality Assurance: Conducting rigorous QA checks and maintaining accurate site records and as-built surveys.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience working as a Site Engineer for a groundworks/RC frame subcontractor.
• Proficiency using Leica Robotic (LR) total stations.
• Previous experience working on large projects is highly advantageous
• A proactive problem solver with strong QA skills and the ability to manage complex concrete pours
