We are searching for an experienced Site Engineer to provide engineering support to the Section Engineer and Site Management team on Civil Engineering projects in Glasgow.

We’re looking for someone with experience as a Site Engineer, particularly with Setting-Out and Surveying. Civils experience with a Main Contractor is essential. Good communication skills are also key, as we work collaboratively.

Requirements: A full driving licence is essential.

About You: The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a similar position with a main contractor.

Typical duties include:

1. Undertake Surveying and Setting Out duties.
2. Check drawings and quantities.
3. Schedule materials for procurement.
4. Plan and organise site operations to meet deadlines.
5. Liaise with consultants and subcontractors.
6. Supervise site labour and monitor subcontractors' work.
7. Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are met.
8. Maintain quality records.
9. Resolve technical issues and problems.
10. Arrange testing of materials and calibrate instruments.
11. Keep a Site Diary.
12. Collaborate with the construction team and other departments.
13. Implement improvements and innovations.
14. Perform other duties as required by the Site Manager.
