Job summary

ISS Labour Ltd in Inverness, Scotland, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support civil works on major data centre projects across Scotland. In a live electrical data centre environment, you will ensure accurate setting out, adherence to specifications, and delivery to programme while coordinating with subcontractors and the site team.

The role offers both permanent and contract opportunities through 2027, with emphasis on safety, quality, and problem-solving on complex civils packages

Qualifications

• Site Engineering experience within data centre construction.
• Civil background with groundworks, foundations, drainage, ducting and concrete works.
• HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Proficiency in setting-out equipment, surveying techniques and engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of electrical infrastructure, underground services and MEP interfaces within data centres.
• CSCS card and relevant health and safety qualifications.
• Strong attention to detail, communication and problem-solving skills.

We are working with an established construction specialist with a proven track record of successfully delivering multiple data centre projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of several data centre projects across Scotland.

You will be responsible for ensuring civil engineering works are set out accurately, delivered safely and completed to the required specifications, quality standards and project programme within a live electrical data centre environment.
