Site Engineer - Dawson's Corner Scheme

The Site Engineer will be based on our £50m+ Dawson's Corner Scheme, which involves improving a major junction to enhance traffic flow. The Site Engineer is responsible for setting out the site and dimensional controls in accordance with the relevant contract drawings, specifications, and site surveys. They ensure all relevant tolerances are met without compromising quality or floor space. The role includes reviewing construction outputs and planning the most efficient sequence of operations, focusing on control of works, quality, and technical advice. The Engineer will carry out their work in accordance with company standard procedures and discharge duties as listed in the Sisk Safety Statement/Policy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Set out the works in accordance with drawings, specifications, and site surveys.
  2. Liaise with project planners regarding construction programmes and supplier outputs.
  3. Check materials and works in progress for compliance with specified requirements, observing Sisk Q10 standards.
  4. Adhere to all safety requirements outlined in the company safety statement.
  5. Contribute to Inspection and Test Plans and ensure supply chain provides necessary test data.
  6. Raise RFIs and resolve technical issues with employer’s representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and statutory authorities.
  7. Maintain quality control and records in accordance with procedural method statements, quality plans, and inspection/test plans.
  8. Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience with good sector knowledge or project-based experience.
  9. Ability to deliver reports verbally and in writing in an objective and persuasive manner.
  10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with professionalism and independence, capable of influencing others including senior management.
  11. Working knowledge of Temporary Works Control; TWC certification is advantageous.
  12. Degree/Diploma in Engineering.
  13. Relevant certifications such as SMSTS/MSIC, First Aid, Lifting Supervisor, TWC training.
  14. Chartered or working towards professional status with Engineers Ireland or ICE.
