A leading infrastructure group is seeking a Site Engineer for the Apollo Project in Bristol. Responsible for ensuring technical excellence, you will work closely with the project management team and subcontractors on significant infrastructure development. Ideal candidates will have a Civil Engineering degree and experience in construction projects.

About the role

At Balfour Beatty, we make ambitious visions a reality. As a leading infrastructure group, we work on some of the UK’s most complex and exciting engineering projects – and we’re looking for a Site Engineer to join our Regional Civils team on the Apollo Project in Bristol.

As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of the Apollo Project, a significant infrastructure and construction development in the Bristol area. You will be responsible for ensuring technical excellence on-site, working closely with the project management team, subcontractors, and designers.

What you'll be doing

As a Site Engineer you will:

  • Set out, survey, and perform quality control on site
  • Assist with planning and coordination of construction activities
  • Ensure works are carried out in line with specifications and drawings
  • Support health, safety, environmental, and sustainability compliance
  • Maintain accurate records and report progress
  • Work collaboratively to resolve technical challenges

Who we're looking for

You will have the following:

  • A degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Proven experience working on complex construction or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of setting out and surveying techniques using GPS
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to health and safety best practices
