A leading Main Contractor in Northern Ireland is seeking a Site Engineer to oversee commercial projects worth over £20 million. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of related experience. Responsibilities include setting out works, liaising with sub-contractors, and supporting project management to deliver high-quality outcomes. Immediate start for suitable candidates.

INFORM3 Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a Main Contractor for the following role.

Job Title – Site Engineer

Project – Commercial Projects £20 million +

Job Location – Belfast

Salary – DOE

About the Company

I have an excellent, new opportunity with a leading Main Contractor working on a wide variety of projects across Northern Ireland.

The successful candidate will be working on new build projects including RC Frame, Steel Frame and Block Build in.

Project is kicking off in the next few weeks so this would be a great opportunity for an engineer to get in early stages and progress with the project!

The Role
  • Setting out and checking works as required for the project and ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
  • The contractor plans to take on a Junior/Grad Engineer in the summer and would like the Engineer candidate to assist in their development.
  • Liaise with sub-contractors and personnel on site in the planning and construction of the project.
  • Support the Project Manager/ Contracts Manager to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
  • Work with Design team to overcome any issues that may arise during construction phases.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
Requirements
  • A Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience post graduate with a main contractor.
  • Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint.
