Job summary

Morson Group is recruiting a Site Engineer for a major highways and civil engineering project based in Newhaven, East Sussex. You will provide surveying and setting-out information, ensuring works meet drawings, specifications and programme requirements.

You will work with Site Management and construction teams, delivering accurate engineering data while maintaining safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND/NVQ or degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
• CSCS Card required.
• PTS and project training may be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out accurate setting out and surveying works across the project.
• Providing clear and timely engineering information to site teams.
• Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Monitoring and checking works are constructed to the correct position, line and level.
• Carrying out as-built surveys and maintaining accurate engineering records.
• Completing quality assurance checks in line with project procedures.
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Working closely with site teams throughout key stages of the project.
• Briefing construction teams on setting out information and engineering requirements.
• Supporting a robust QA process and a 'right first time' approach to construction.
• Identifying and resolving engineering issues that could impact programme, quality or cost.
• Ensuring setting out information is delivered in line with programme requirements.
• Maintaining a strong focus on health and safety at all times.

Site Engineer - Highways Project
Location: Newhaven, East Sussex
Start Date: Tuesday 1st September
Duration: Until Christmas minimum
Rate: £300-£450 per shift
Hours: 7:00am-5:30pm
Project: Major Highways / Civil Engineering Works

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways and civil engineering project based in Newhaven, East Sussex.

The Role

As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the project. You will be responsible for providing accurate survey and setting out information, ensuring works are constructed to the correct lines and levels and in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.

You will work closely with Site Management, Supervisors and construction teams, providing clear and accurate engineering information while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Relevant industry experience will also be considered.
• Appropriate CSCS Card required.
• PTS and other relevant project training may be advantageous.
