Our client, a well-established and highly regarded Civil Engineering Main Contractor with an annual turnover of £150 million, is looking to recruit an experienced Site Engineer to join their civil engineering team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in East Lothian.

Role Overview:

As a Site Engineer, you will work closely with the management team to coordinate daily site operations, ensuring all work complies with Health and Safety regulations. A key aspect of the role involves setting out and surveying across a variety of civil infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Setting out for construction works
2. Ensuring projects are delivered safely and in full compliance with Health and Safety regulations
3. Coordinating, managing, and monitoring site staff and subcontractors
4. Administering and maintaining Quality Assurance records on-site
5. Checking plans, drawings, and quantities to ensure accuracy
6. Supporting the Project Manager and Site Agent, while carrying out additional site engineering duties as required
7. Liaising with management and the client to ensure smooth project delivery

Essential Requirements:

1. Degree or HNC qualification in a relevant civil engineering discipline
2. Previous experience as a Site Engineer with a civil engineering contractor
3. Experience working on Scottish Power projects (desirable)
4. Proven expertise in setting out for groundworks and infrastructure projects
5. A valid CSCS card
6. Full UK driving licence
