Job description

Job Title: Site Engineer

We are looking to strengthen our Construction team with a Site Engineer based at our Tarbert WTW CWT site.

You will report directly to the Site Manager, and your role will involve providing setting out and quality control services to ensure that the contract works are constructed to the specification in a safe manner, while maintaining appropriate site records.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with regulations and compliance with the company's safe working practices.
2. Assist in preparing construction programmes, Method Statements, Action Plans, and Risk Assessments.
3. Set out the works accurately on site.
4. Check site work to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
5. Agree on site measurements and records with the client’s staff.
6. Maintain drawing files, drawing register, and site filing system.
7. Liaise with the design department to ensure updated information is used.
8. Take off quantities from drawings for measurement purposes and assist in preparing requisitions.
9. Assist in preparing construction completion documentation.
10. Ensure that works are constructed to a high quality in line with specifications and good working practices.
11. Maintain quality records diligently.
12. Work with other site staff to ensure all works comply with current legislation, health & safety policies, procedures, and safe working practices.
13. Establish and maintain good, honest, and open communication lines.
14. Lead by example in safety behaviors, emphasizing the importance of safety on site.
