Job description

We are currently working on behalf of one of the major family-owned construction businesses in Scotland with a reputation for excellence in retail, leisure, office, industrial, and healthcare construction sites across Scotland. They are seeking a dedicated and skilled Site Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing construction of sites across the central belt, ensuring that all site engineering tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Location:

Central Belt of Scotland

Salary range:

40K-50K per annum, plus permanent benefits

Duties:

  • Supervise and manage construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
  • Setting out of points and levels.
  • Paperwork (ITPs, RAMS, etc.)
  • Interpretation of technical drawings.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work performed by subcontractors and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare detailed reports on project progress, including any issues encountered and solutions implemented.
  • Assist in the coordination of materials and equipment delivery to maintain project timelines.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using engineering software.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
