Job summary

ML Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our clients’ civil engineering team. The role covers projects across the North West, with responsibility for accurate setting out, interpreting designs and coordinating site activities alongside the site manager.

The ideal candidate will hold HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent, possess civil engineering experience, and demonstrate excellent communication and leadership to drive safety, quality and on-time delivery on site.

Qualifications

• HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Civil engineering experience.
• Strong setting-out and surveying skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Accurate setting out of works and read and interpret designs and drawings.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers and supervise workload.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and site management to ensure safety and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to risk assessments, method statements, and quality requirements.
• Oversee site activities and maintain documentation including as-builts.

Site Engineer Key Accountabilities:

• Accurate Setting Out
• All engineering related site activities
• Managing junior engineers and workload
• Read and interpret designs and drawings
• Ensure accurate setting out of works
• Adhere to risk assessments and method statements
• Ensure work is executed in a safe manner
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations
• Manage quality aspects of the role
• Manage all other engineering related site activities
• As Builts
• Quality lifetime records
• Managing subcontractors
• Assisting with coaching and mentoring younger, junior engineers.
• Management of site activities in conjunction with site manager

Senior Site Engineer Requirements:

• Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent)
• Civil engineering experience
• Experienced and accurate setting out skills
